Soccer Referee Stabbed By Heckler

A soccer referee was stabbed by a heckler after weeks of harassment, and police said the incident may have been the result of pent-up road rage.

The referee of an unsanctioned soccer league in Natomas, whose identity has not been released, was apparently involved in a near-collision with another man in a nearby parking lot three weeks before the stabbing, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
