There are four simultaneous timers:
- Large display counting up (“match time” for goals, misconduct, substitutions)
- Large display counting down (total time remaining in the half, pauses during added time)
- Small display with additional time (easy to track added time by pressing one button to start and stop)
- Small display with the interval break (automatically starts your halftime timer)
Programming the Watch
Before the match, the referee programs the number of periods (1-9), minutes of playing time (1-99) for each period and minutes (1-99) for each period break.
Game Operation
When the match begins, the referee presses the UP/START button to start all four time functions. If the match is 45 minute halves, the count up timer will start at 0:00 and eventually reach 45:00. The count down timer will start at 45:00 and will reach 0:00.
To add stoppage time during the game (injury, substitution, lost ball, goal, misconduct, etc), the referee returns to pressing UP/START to begin the stoppage counter. The watch will vibrate to confirm. The watch will continue to vibrate every 10 seconds to remind the referee that stoppage time is being added. The countdown timer will pause during the addition of stoppage time. The count up timer will continue to count for actual time into the match. To end the stoppage time counter, the referee presses UP/START again and the watch vibrates once to confirm.
At the conclusion of the half (with stoppage time automatically added), the watch will give a long vibration alert and begin counting the interval between periods. To begin the second half, simply press the UP/START button. The count up timer will start at 45:00 (or how many minutes for each playing period) and lead up to 90:00 (or your total match time). The count down timer will count from 45:00 to 0:00.

The Watche’s functionality and features are AWESOME! But don’t let it get wet or get sweat on it!!!! After 1 months use, the watch is unuseable. The buttons have corroded and the watch has stopped working. That makes this an expensive paperweight…

During the use of the SPINTSO watch, the casing is subject to perspiration, moisture, and various atmospheric conditions. Over time, some watches will exhibit a rusting or discoloration around the buttons. This may lead to the interference of normal watch operations and can ultimately lead to failure of the device.
SPINTSO changed some of the watch design on May 20, 2012. The new watches look exactly the same as the first batch but have the following improvements:
* An upgraded battery containment clamp to secure the battery during use of the vibration alert.
* A stronger vibration motor.
* Buttons changed to stainless steel to resist corrosion.
* The battery indicator will only indicate when the battery requires replacement, instead of the previous constant alerts.
SPINTSO guarantees a 2 year warranty against defects in material and workmanship from the initial date of purchase. This guarantee covers watch parts, labor costs associated with repairs and freight costs to the distributer. Watch batteries have a 1 year warranty.

Pro Referee Customer support is awesome. I have had this watch replaced twice for button functionality issues due to sweat/water. In talking with Jason the watch was redesigned with Stainless Steel buttons to fix the issues reported. I received my replacement watch today and look forward to using it. This watch is excellent for use on the field. Very easy to use and functionally sound. Only problem was the corroding buttons which SPINTSO has fixed. Pro Referee replaced my watch twice and has EXCELLENT customer service. I will definitely be coming back.

Pretty much does exactly what you expect. The video showing how easy it is to use is spot on. The one-button operation is as simple as it gets. I really enjoy using it. The instructions are simple, and changing the default settings are easy enough.
The watch is big. I used to wear my Casio RFT-100 as an everyday watch, as it was unobtrusive enough to simply look like a sports watch. Can’t really do this with the Spintso. It’s not really a daily watch, as it is not exactly dainty…
But then, it’s not designed to be a daily watch. It is the PERFECT referee watch, and the features are specifically designed for conscientious referees. I do love it.
Not much to gripe about other than the size. The one feature I do wish it had would be preset match times. My Casio had pre-programmed times of 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 minute halves. That was handy, since for youth matches, I could just pick one of those preset times for tournament play. The Spintso only holds one preset match time. If I do a U19 match at 45-min halves, and then run to another youth match for younger age groups (with shorter halves), I have to manually set the new match time. Not a BIG deal, and it’s not particularly difficult to change, but you do have to change it for every differing length of a half.
I highly recommend it for every referee! I do love it, and look forward to continued use.
